Oral & Poster Presentations
The ICEFA 2016 programme brought together researchers and practitioners from around the world to share case studies and technical findings in engineering failure analysis. Sessions covered the full innovation cycle — from design and manufacture through to safety, reliability, environmental sensitivity, and end-of-life disposal.
The conference featured a mix of oral presentations and poster sessions, with dedicated time for discussion and networking. The programme was structured to emphasise practical application of technical knowledge, drawing on extensive real-world case studies.
Programme Highlights
The conference schedule spanned four days, with plenary keynote lectures, parallel technical sessions, and interactive poster forums. Topics addressed included:
- Failure mechanisms in metallic and non-metallic materials
- Corrosion, fatigue, creep, and fracture analysis
- Case studies from aerospace, power generation, and transport
- Forensic engineering and accident investigation
- Life-cycle assessment and risk-based inspection
- Design against failure and lessons learned from service experience
Each day opened with a keynote address from a leading expert, followed by themed parallel sessions. Poster presentations were displayed throughout the conference, with dedicated poster-viewing breaks and an evening poster reception.
Full programme details, including session chairs and presentation timings, were distributed to registered delegates ahead of the event.
